Connecting with Mercy in FCC & Vsee

Internet video call requires a high-speed internet connection, a webcam, a noise-cancelling microphone and headset/earphones for hands-free operation. For privacy, you will need to be in a quiet room, away from interruptions and disturbances.  Be comfortably seated (not lying down). 

 

We advice arriving 5-10 minutes early and then sending Mercy Martinez an IM (instant message) or PM (private message) to let her know that you are ready for your meeting. Mercy may be busy concluding a prior client arppointment so please wait for her go signal before you start the call. If there is a chance you will be late, let Mercy now beforehand. Note that being late will shorten your time with Mercy. An extension cannot be granted out of consideration for the next client.

​COMPUTER SETUP: 

  1. If this is your 1st time to use FCC, do this one-time setup: 30 minutes before the appointed meeting, click on above Online Meeting Link and then follow the prompts to complete setup. Choose "Mic & Speakers" (not "Telephone") as your Audio Preference during setup. Check to make sure you have a compatible browser. FCC supports Internet Explorer® 10 and up, Safari® 6.0 and up, Firefox® 15 and up, Chrome™ 16 and up.

  2. 15 minutes before the meeting, click on above Online Meeting Link again to start Free Conference Call and enter the Online Meeting ID above.

  3. Click "Join" and then wait for Mercy to start the meeting.

MOBILE PHONE SETUP:

  1. 30 minutes before the appointed meeting, download "Free Conference Call" from Google Play Store, or "FCC-Dialer" from iTunes, and follow the prompts to install the app and complete setup. 

  2. 15 minutes before the meeting, start the Free Conference Call app and enter the Online Meeting ID (provided in a confirmation email to you when you booked the appointment).

  3. Click "Join" and then wait for Mercy to start the meeting.

DIAL-IN ACCESS:

  1. To dial-in to the main conference room by phone, call this USA number: +1 (563) 999-2090. Dial 648933 when prompted for the Access Code. If you are calling from outside USA, click here to get your International Dial-in Number.

  2. When prompted, enter the Access Code (provided in a confirmation email to you when you booked the appointment) and then wait for Mercy to start the meeting.

How to Set-up Vsee
  1. Download Vsee from www.vsee.com and follow the prompts to complete setup in your computer. (For mobile devices, download the Vsee app from Google Play or App Store).

  2. After you create a Vsee username or email address, please email it to Mercy.Martinez@veroinfinitus.com so that we can add you to our Vsee contacts.

  3. Start Vsee in your laptop, or click the Vsee icon in your mobile phone to start it.

  4. Click the "+" button on the bottom left of the Vsee window to add a contact.

  5. Enter mercy@mercymartinez.com in the Vsee search bar and click "Find."

  6. When the name Mercy Martinez pops up, double-click it to add it to your Vsee contacts directory.

  7. To start a video call at the appointed time, locate Mercy Martinez or mercy@mercymartinez.com in your Vsee contacts directory and click "Call" button.

How To Conserve Bandwidth

 

Group video conferencing grabs megabytes of internet bandwidth which can cause video call performance to deteriorate. To conserve bandwidth, let's practice the following:

 

  • ​When video is not essential, participants with low upload bandwidth can mute their video.

  • Mute your audio while you are not talking (but remember to unmute when you need to).

  • If you are screen-sharing an application, consider sharing only the relevant areas by making it smaller.

  • Make sure no other applications (or devices on your network) are using up bandwidth (downloading, streaming media, etc).

  • Plug in a network cable if you are on wifi.
